Bright and Happy Cameo Mother's Day Card

A Mother's Day card for my beautiful mother-in-law. The design is built around the cameo picture (top left corner), which I'd spotted in an old magazine among my craft supplies, and wanted to specifically use in a Mother's Day card design.

The original design idea I'd had in mind, though, really wasn't working out. So I decided to sleep on it and come back the next morning. That turned out to be the right decision, because an idea involving vines and squares popped into my head the next day, and it all fell into place after that.

This design was definitely more experimental than I usually do, and a little outside my usual style. I'm very happy with the result, though, and I think that MiL will really like it.
